Apache’s Prilled Ammonium Nitrate is a free-flowing low density product with high oil absorbency and high crush resistance. Prilled Ammonium Nitrate is shipped in bulk by truck and railcar. EXPANTM Porous Prilled Ammonium Nitrate (NH4NO3) is a low density product with Expancel in the product structure which, when mixed with fuel oil, becomes a highly efficient primary blasting agent for mining operations. Apache’s Prilled Ammonium Nitrate is a free-flowing ultra-low density product with high oil absorbency and high crush resistance. EXPAN™ is shipped in bulk by truck. Nitric Acid (HNO3) is used primarily as feedstock in our Ammonium Nitrate plant. The remainder is sold for use in stainless steel pickling, mine leaching, manufacturing pectin for chewing gum and baking products,and in manufacturing other acids and explosives. The product is shipped to customers in trucks and railcars. Aqua Ammonia (ammonium hydroxide) is used by the power generation industry, in conjunction with a Zeolite catalyst, to reduce air emissions. The solution is made by mixing anhydrous ammonia with demineralized water at a strength of 18.5% to 19.5% ammonia. Aqua Ammonia is shipped by truck. 82% Liquid Ammonium Nitrate (LAN) is used in production of emulsions for special blasting applications in the mining industry and for the conversion to a calcium nitrate fertilizer. The 82% Ammonium Nitrate is transported by insulated truck. DI-AN (ammonium dinitrate) is a low pH fertilizer solution containing 18% nitrogen. The product is specially formulated to neutralize alkali soils and to remove build-up from irrigation systems. DI-AN is shipped by truck.
